This Sunday Jenna and I did the Breast Cancer Race for the Cure. It was AWESOME!
It was overwhelming to see the amount of people there who were supporting this cause. It brought me to tears seeing husbands walk with signs pinned on their shirts saying they were walking for their wives. I know how hard that must have been for them. It touched a special place in my heart seeing the amount of young girls like myself walking with signs pinned on their shirts that read exactly what mine said. "Im walking in memory of my MOM". It was a sad yet hopeful feeling. A feeling of sadness knowing that they had also lost their mother but a great feeling of hope knowing that they were there to raise funds to find a cure like I was doing. It reassured me that no matter who you are and what your situation is there is always someone in a similar situation no matter how alone you may feel. And its our job to help each other out through the tough times.
Well at the end of the race I was beaming with pride for all the people who were there supporting. It was a great turn out and we had an amazing time together.
